South Florida: Official hurricane outlook to be released Thursday (Sun-Sentinel)
Federal meteorologists will release their outlook for the 2008 hurricane season on Thursday, and it likely will call for a busier than normal year. Experts say the Atlantic basin is in an era of heightened tropical activity.

Two major investment firms will advise Florida on financing its hurricane catastrophe insurance fund although Gov. Charlie Crist tried to exclude them Tuesday.
