FPL says it can't explain widespread damage to poles (Sun-Sentinel)
Tallahassee A Florida Power & Light Co. executive told legislators Wednesday that the company is still investigating why 10,000 of its poles snapped during last year's Hurricane Wilma but promised it will strengthen its infrastructure and make it better able to stand up to storms.
