HOUMA - Hurricane researchers predict an average hurricane season this year, with a dozen named storms, including six hurricanes. Of those, two hurricanes are expected to be major, at Category 3 strength or higher, according to a report issued Tuesday by science professors William Gray and Phil Klotzbach of Colorado State University.
