Co-Creator Of Hurricane Scale Dies In Florida (KTAL Shreveport)
(Miami) -- An engineer credited as a co-creator of the Saffir-Simpson hurricane intensity scale has died. According to the "Miami Herald," Herbert Saffir's died of a heart attack on Thanksgiving eve at South Miami Hospital.
