Central Florida needs hurricane shelters
A recently released biannual study of hurricane shelters in Florida shows the biggest deficits are in the Tampa area, Central and Southwest Florida.
Oil spill never arrived, but damage was done
Like the approach of a major hurricane, the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill loomed menacingly north of the Florida Keys from late April to mid-July of 2010.
